Types of IELTS
● IELTS Academic - Taken by those who apply for higher education, graduate or post
graduate level and professional registration abroad.
● IELTS General - taken by those who wish to migrate to major English speaking
countries and also by those who want to enroll in training programmes or secondary
education (below Degree) or to gain work experience.
TOEFL
Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test to measure the English language
ability of non-native speakers wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities.
TOEFL is one of several major English-language tests in the world. TOEFL is a trademark of the
Educational Testing Service (ETS), a private non-profit organization, which designs and
administers the tests. The test is accepted by more than 11,000 universities and other
institutions in over 190 countries and territories.

PTE
PTE is the Pearson Test of English. The PTE Academic exam is an English language test for
candidates looking to apply to universities or countries abroad that use English as their
primary source of communication. It is a computer-based English language test accepted by
educational institutions around the world. It tests the Reading, Writing, Listening and
Speaking skills of the candidates. The test is designed in such a way that every question
generally tests two skills together, like reading and speaking or listening and reading.
PTC is accepted by thousands of educational institutions across the world. Apart from
this, PTE Academic is also accepted by the governments of Australia and New Zealand for visa
purposes and Universities in the UK, Australia and New Zealand etc.
PTE exams are conducted by Pearson PLC Group.

Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is the standard and prominent entrance exam students
