Other Foreign Languages

We would also arrange classes for the other foreign languages depending on the number of participants registered. However, a minimum quorum is a must in order to start a new course on request.

The other foreign languages offered by De Sales Language Academy are;

Dutch:
Dutch is an official language of the Netherlands proper, Belgium, Suriname, the Dutch Caribbean municipalities (St. Eustatius, Saba and Bonaire), Aruba, Curaçao and Sint Maarten. Dutch is also an official language of several international organisations, such as the European Union, Union of South American Nations and the Caribbean Community. At an academic level, Dutch is taught in about 175 universities in 40 countries.

Italian
The Italian language is the official language of Italy, San Marino, Vatican City, Switzerland, and the Western Istria region of Slovakia and Croatia. Italian is one of the Romance Languages.

Russian
Russian is an eastern Slavic language native to Russia and Belarus. The Russian language is Europe’s largest native language and the world’s 7th largest language by number of speakers. Russian is spoken both as a first and second language and is the official language for Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Some international organizations such as the UN, WHO, NASA, GUAM, SCO, and CIS also use Russian as one of their official languages. Russian uses the Cyrillic alphabet as its writing system. The use of Russia spread to other nations during the Soviet Era and became ingrained in most of these countries.

Arabic
Most of the countries that use Arabic as their official language are in the Middle East. The Arabic language is written from left to right in a consonant alphabet, which is also called an abjad. Since it is so widely spoken throughout the world, the language is one of the six official languages of the United Nations.
